Central plateau adventure.

A return to one of our fave places in NZ Tongariro National Park for a days fun doing part of the crossing and summiting the easy Mt Tongariro and descending down the more interesting steeper, longer way.
The Maungatepopo valley.

Sharn and Michelle sitting down after a long hard hot day.

View of Mt Ruapehu hiding behind Mt Doom.
Mt Doom/Mt Ngauruhoe. Route to top is the grey centre trail, way steeper than it looks.
First time we have seen this area covered in ladybirds!

Red crater.
Emerald lakes.
Beauty and the Beast!
Blue Lake.

Sharn.

If you look really hard you can see Mt Taranaki in the centre, a great place for a proposal, well it worked in our case!
Resting at the top of the saddle after finishing the devils staircase.
Looks a moonscape.

Dave with COry and Hannah at the coolest place in NZ, Rangiawahia, true sheep country.

Spot the deer.
Amusing sign appearing frequently around the country to remind tourists of toilet etiquette.

Cute Squiggles, Joys lil kitten.
Jess and Kelly around New Years Eve where us 3 couples spent time on the boat or water biscuiting and wake boarding.
