Brisbane Birthdays!

Beanies made by Michelle's mum.
The festy hair competitors!

Fiona with mum.
Happy 30th to Ben and Fiona (Michelle's sister).
The awesome cake Fiona made.
For the party there was a huge marquee and lots of fire - they have a massive back yard.

Dave with way too long handle bars!

Cute Trixie.

Uncle Dave with pigtails and Briar with pigtails!

Aunty Michelle (called "Uncle" Michelle by Briar) with Trixie and her brithday slippers.

Nana having fun with Dave beating her at Mancala.

NSW.

And we passed through Tamworth. For any Country Music lovers who care we thought we take a photo.

This was our favourite campsite, we had to drive out of our way to get there but it was so worth it, we were surrounded by little rocky mountains and little wallaby friends, a little gem of nature!

Michelle's view from the tent where Dave just had to wake Michelle up to meet his new friend!

This is our Wallaby friend we nicknamed Cadbury!

This is on our way to Warumbungle National Park.

If you have seen the movie "The Dish" then you will know where we are... at Parkes. If you don't know why this dish is so great then seen the movie as I don't have time to explain the historical significance of it, plus by watching the movie you can see/misunderstand some Aussie humour! Michelle saw this movie for the first time on the last night we were in Pithara at the Falls' Farm courtesy of the great neighbour Jeff.

Camping by the Murray River near the SA border. Great campsite, saw heaps of pelicans. Next day we drove 100kms through the top of Victoria, then we were in NSW.
I am sure that Joy will know where we are here!

Dave was thirsty but he didn't read the sign!
It just cracks me up that there is a place called "Bogan" gate!

Adelaide Antics!

We had 1 month with our mates in Adelaide and celebrated De's birthday with her cool as parents at their place in the hills. Both of us got to go for a ride in De's Dad's Lotus 7 replica! Way fun.

Dave and Dave - 2 Gibbons!I am trying to remember the name of this place but it alludes me, but we went op shopping and coffee drinking.
Our friends Dave and De, whom we had the delight of staying with for one month.
Dave being Dave with some glasses made for him by his wife.

Bedtime!

These two gibbons liked playing computer games against each other. So we were either working at the plastic factory or they were playing "that" war game.... yes we worked at a plastic factory, quite monotonous waiting for the mould to "cook" (30 secs) then packing the moulds away, repeat for 8 hours... but the money got us the petrol to get to Brisbane!
We went to the famous botanical gardens but at that time of year it was winter!

No trees, lotsa whales!

Dave with a giant Galah near Ceduna, NSW.
Dave with one of our 9 whale friends we saw at the head of the Great Australian Bight.

Michelle bought the wrong type of white spirits for our MSR cooker, hence there was no clean burn and Michelle wiped it all over her face so she could look as hairy as Dave!
I love this photo! It is a Southern Wright Whale with its cub.
The gorgeous view just out of Eucla, having crossed over from Western A to South A.
Another stunning view of the Nullarbor, what we saw 99% of the time! The beautiful cliffs were 1% of the experience! Not sure that we'll ever do this trip again!!!!

Whale sighting.

The border between the west and the South, flooded out by the constant passing squalls.

These signs were every 88 km!
Woohoo, closer to Adelaide!
Dave likes flirting with danger.
