Darlington Boulders

So off we went in search of some rock to climb. Darlington Boulders sounded good in the guide book but there we were ambling around the Aussie bush unable to find the hidden cairn to show us the way to go. Therefore no fun climbing the rock was had, but we did have an enjoyable day out. This has got to be the most peaceful place we have found near Perth!
Dave enjoying the tranquility!
Gorgeous view. This gave us a clue as to where we were but by this time we needed to head back to get out before dark.
Gorgeous white flowers.

Parrot Paradise is in the Cottesloe beach tree tops!

It was so amazing. We were just gonna have shark and taties on the beach. We got out of the car and there was such a racus, and we noticed the trees were loaded with birds. Michelle wasn't that awed by it all til Dave pointed out that they were not ordinary birds but colourful creatures. One great thing about Australia that I have to admit is that it has the coolest birds ever. We enjoyed the next hour fully observing the phenomenon!

Beach and Rock.

Cottesloe Beach taken by Dave.

Committed photographer Dave lying down for that perfect shot, using slide film so unfortunately we have to wait to see all his cool shots!
Dave took this one!
Churchmans Rock. You see how stuff grows on the rock, well Michelle wanted to get a better grip so she ripped some green stuff out and shrieked when she saw a baby snake - time to change the route!Hello down there.

Climbing, eating, and strange lizards.

The Strange Lizard that we stared at and took photos for ages!
Something else strange, don't think its a lizard. Whatever it is, it can sure climb, and it was very hungry!

This was a fun Thursday afternoon climbing at Churchmans.
